Aveiro Green H2 Valley

The project consists of an electrolyser of around 100 MW that will produce green H2 (9,116 t p.a.) in Oliveira do Bairro (COD beginning of 2027). Focused on Power to Industry, Gas grid Injection and Power to Mobility. Electricity sourced from our PV plant in Aveiro District (170 MWp). We partner with leading technology-players in the H2 industry, e.g. ThyssenKrupp and Sunfire, and other EU equipment suppliers. Advanced talks ongoing with value chain partners, e.g., for offtake and H2 transport.

High pressure storage - Smartenergy has identified potential partners with leading technology-players (e.g. Hexagon, Wystrach, etc.)
Conversations ongoing with ceramic and glass industries from Aveiro District, with the support of APICER, the Portuguese Association of Ceramics and Domestic Glass Industries.

    With a good business case, with IRR higher than 8%, we will have good projects.
