Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley, with two main locations, Huelva (1 GW) and Cádiz (1 GW)
Moeve is developing the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley, a 2 GW project, in Huelva (1GW) and Cádiz (1 GW) hubs, to produce renewable hydrogen and derivatives such as ammonia, methanol and eSAF. The first 300 MW phase has reached FID. The Valley will scale up through successive phases and support European corridors, including H2Med and South North maritime hydrogen routes.
Overarching / General
The Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley unites partners across all the value chain in its Huelva and Cádiz hubs, and it is supported by letters from public and private stakeholders at Spanish, European and international levels.
H2 production
The first phase will be developed with partners, including Enagás Renovable. The following phases are being discussed with national and international stakeholders helping anchor the Valley’s renewable hydrogen production and supply hard to abate sectors.
H2 transportation, storage & distribution
We support Enagás, the Spanish TSO, in developing the hydrogen pipeline network, while ongoing discussions with European ports and companies such as Gasunie and Vopak will facilitate the storage and distribution of hydrogen and its derivatives.
H2 end use
The Valley will produce renewable derivatives such as ammonia, methanol and eSAF to supply hard to abate sectors and help refineries, transport and industry comply with RED III targets.
